UI Convocation Ceremony Programme of Events – 2015

University of Ibadan, UI convocation and 67th foundation day programme of events have been released.

The University of Ibadan (UI) has released the programme of events for the 2015 Convocation and Sixty-Seventh Foundation Day Ceremonies.

The ceremonies have been schedule to hold as follows:
Wednesday, 11th November, 2015
Convocation Lecture

• Title: Prospects and Challenges of Good Governance in a Developing Economy
• Lecturer: His Excellency, Senator lsiak Abiola Ajimobi, Executive GovernorofOyo State
• Venue: Trenchard Hall, University of lbadan, Ibadan

A.) 67th Foundation Day, Installation of Chancellor/PAULESI/Admission to Higher Degrees (Doctorate) and Award of Honorary Degrees to the following eminent persons:
i.) His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar III, CFR, mni, Sultan of Sokoto and Chancellor, University of lbadan (LL.D)
ii.)  Emeritus Professor Ayo Banjo, accomplished scholar, distinguished administrator and longest serving Vice Chancellor, University of Ibadan between 1984 and 1991 (D.Litt.)

B.) Convocation Luncheon

• Time: 1:00 pm
• Venue: Vice-Chancellor’s Lodge

Note:
All Graduands are expected to pay a refundable deposit of N500.00K to their respective Faculty Officers for the academic outfits. The Order of Proceedings, Invitation cards and other instructions will be issued to Graduands on arrival at their respective Faculties (Diplomas and First Degrees) and The Postgraduate School (Higher Degrees) on the presentation of receipts showing the stipulated payments.
Please note that the University of Ibadan Alumni Association (UIAA) fee of N1,000.00 should be paid by each Graduand to the Alumni Office.
All Graduands must pay all the levies: Graduation outfits’ deposit and UIAA Membership Levy. Certificates shall not be released until both have been paid and academic outfits returned in good condition.
Any Graduand who leaves before or during the Ceremony will not be allowed to return to the Hall.
